We ordered sushi take-out here and like all of our rolls. The chef specials are really fun and unique!
Our take-out order did take longer than what we were originally told (50 min instead of 35) and they have a B-rating from the health department. I would also recommend making a reservation for hibachi, we saw a couple of families come in without reservations and there were no available spots anymore.
I recently celebrated my daughter's birthday at this fantastic Japanese hibachi sushi restaurant, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely amazing, with a delightful blend of flavors that left us wanting more.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the talented and entertaining chef. Their skills in preparing the dishes right in front of us kept us mesmerized throughout the entire meal. It was not just a dining experience; it was a captivating performance!
The restaurant had a warm and welcoming ambiance, and the staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel special and appreciated.
We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of sushi rolls and hibachi options offered on the menu. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented, and bursting with freshness.
The birthday celebration became even more memorable with the restaurant's thoughtful gesture of bringing out a delightful dessert, complete with a sparkler, to surprise my daughter.
Overall, I can't praise this Japanese hibachi sushi restaurant enough. It's a perfect place to celebrate any occasion or enjoy a delicious meal with loved ones. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a combination of mouthwatering food and entertaining dining experience. Five stars without a doubt!
Food was excellent but decor and building is in need of a serious renovation. Had the interior been as great as the food, we would come here all the time. Unfortunately it was in serious disrepair. Roof was leaking and there were trash cans all over. Place just looks dirty.
Staff is so nice! And we had this one server who was HILARIOUS! He would sing and make jokes and talk to us it was great! (No it was not at hibachi we were sitting in regular tables!) The place is beautiful and clean and food is fantastic AND they have my favorite sake!
I don’t like leaving bad reviews so I will be brief. The service was not good, actually incredibly bad. The food was just ok. You’re better off going to wild rice on route 7 or Kiku sushi in Stamford. If the business replies I will update and elaborate. If they know any better they will not. I will not be back here and I don’t suggest you come in the first place.
UPDATE: business replied but looks like they deleted their response. I will not be coming back. I was told not to come back. Hours long wait for simple food with no explanation only to be hit with a mandatory tip is a slap in the face. I always tip 20% regardless of service I receive (which is generous considering tips are OPTIONAL) but to be forced into a 15% tip under bad circumstances is completely disrespectful. You would have received 20% had you not made a scene when I questioned what the charge was even for (they label it somewhat confusing) and comparing that Manhattan often does this at 18% is completely irrelevant considering nowhere in this state does a mandatory tip apply to a party of TWO.
The disrespect I received from you was borderline harassment. Following me out to me car was legitimate harassment. I could have called the police and had you arrested for your behavior.
In conclusion, do not come here. I will go out of my way to make sure no one I know ever makes the mistake of coming to your establishment. I’ve ordered takeout here multiple times and never had an issue and was excited to try coming in person. I deeply regret ever supporting this business and I am quite honestly shocked that this behavior is allowed.
Take your business elsewhere. Do not come here.
They don’t Japanese make restaurants like this anymore! I loved it all. The servers were kind & quick, the atmosphere was very old school, and the food was fantastic for a good price. It was lovely. I’ll definitely be going back. Don’t. Change. Anything.
The people are very kind and attend to all of your needs. They are friendly and quick to serve. The food is tasty!
I went with my children, and as always, delicious food, and very fresh, the first class attention, the bento box, too good
